Whether you’re building new roads or repairing old ones, Enable Hire will supply the plant, tools and welfare facilities you need. We have wide experience of the roads sector and offer a fast, flexible service to respond to rapidly changing needs. As contractors, you have enough to grapple with in meeting the requirements of the Specification for Highway Works and the like, so when it comes to equipment rentals, we aim to make things easy.

We offer immaculately maintained plant, from humble push rollers through to large excavators and cherry pickers, supplied with or without an operator, as required. Accessories such as hole borers and breakers for our mini-excavators and telehandlers are popular options. No longer do you have to settle for equipment that’s too big or too small: we supply diggers from 1.5T to 22T, for example. Our tool range is enormous, too: whether it’s lighting, or site safety equipment, or power tools (or pumps, or storage, or CCTV security towers…you get the picture!), we’ve got it covered.

We recognise that highways crews are frequently on the move, often working away from toilets and local amenities. Our welfare vans provide the perfect mobile solution. On larger sites and in locations where contractors will be staying put for some time, our welfare units offer more capacity and may be more cost-effective.

As UK highways increasingly fill with EV (electric vehicles), we know that low-carbon solutions are important to roads construction companies. Enable Hire offers standalone hybrid power generators incorporating solar panels, while we are acknowledged experts in eco-friendly welfare: the engines/generators in all our vans and units can run on HVO biofuel, and many vehicles offer hybrid power.
