We supply an agile and efficient welfare service for all your CP6 and trackside project needs. Enable Hire has wide experience of supplying rail staff and engineering contractors: we’re used to responding rapidly to last-minute changes of plan and cancellations.

We offer an array of specialist rail tools, covering cable-handling, electrical testing, electric track equipment (ETE), electric track maintenance (ETM) tools and sector-specific safety equipment. All that’s in addition to our general plant hires – from 1T dumpers through to large excavators and cherry pickers (supplied with or without an operator) – and our enormous range of tools, covering lighting, power tools, pumps, storage, communication equipment…to name just a few.

We recognise that rail crews are frequently on the move, often working away from toilets and local amenities. Our welfare vans provide the perfect mobile solution. On larger sites and in locations where contractors will be staying put for some time, our welfare units offer more capacity and may be more cost-effective. Our clients have even included ecologists carrying out bat surveys for HS2 who needed warm overnight facilities.

With the environment a key concern for rentals in this sector, the extensive low and zero-carbon options offered by our range help keep our customers on track. All our engines and generators can run on HVO biofuel, as well as normal white diesel, while hybrid solar power generation is an increasingly popular options both for standalone generators and for our welfare vehicles.
